Collection: Suppressed Records
Provenance: Inspired by artifacts discovered in the Blackwood Building in Oakhaven, MA-former headquarters of the Bureau of Records & Anomalies.
This Field Report provides a direct graphical transcription of Record SR207 recovered by Subversive Nostalgia from the suppressed records annex of the Blackwood Building. Archival investigations into the Bureau’s early 20th-century files have uncovered a significant undercurrent of religious nationalism that sought to place U.S. citizens in a tier above the global community.
While the design reconstructs the visual "perfection" of a mid-century domestic portrait, the inclusion of predatory ram horns serves as an indicator of the source of this exclusionary ideology.
